Marilee has been a Disability Activist and Consultant for stage and screen for the past 20+ years. She founded Access Acting Academy an Actor Training Program for Blind and Low Vision Artists, is on the advisory board for Queens Theatre for All program, is a founding steering committee member of 50/50 by 2020 Disability Cohort in Hollywood, a member of the SAG AFTRA PWD committee and has been a disability consultant for universities, acting conservatories, private actor training programs, theatres, tv and film and private businesses. She is also a professional motivational speaker and has keynoted for both national organizations and global companies.
Her Philosophy of Inclusion in the entertainment Industry is based on her 3C Approach.
CASTING: Authentic Casting for all characters with disabilities, as well as disabled actors being cast in non-disability specific roles.
CONTENT: Stories written by, for and about disabled persons. Disabled writers included in all writing rooms.
CAREERS: Creating opportunities for disabled artists and industry professionals to be hired as directors, producers, editors, designers, and all below the line positions.

COACHING
Marilee has been an audition/acting coach for the past 15 years, working with both stage and screen actors from across Northern America. She currently coaches virtually from NYC & CA, but does on-set character coaching as well. She works with actors auditioning for Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Regional theatre as well as Series Regulars, and Guest Stars on Network Television. She also does on-going character development coaching for actors already booked in shows and one-on-one acting training with early career actors and actors with disabilities.
