Marilee is the founder and executive director of Access Acting Academy.

She specializes in and is an expert in actor training for blind and low vision actors and has developed a first of its kind pedagogy that pulls out the ableist bias weaved through the foundation and framework of traditional actor training. She has has worked as a consultant for universities, conservatories, professional actor training programs, studio workshops, theaters and television and film. Her particular expertise is born from the marriage of nearly 25 years of being an actor, director, creator, producer and designer, and the fact that Marilee is legally blind Herself and has developed techniques on her own to accommodate and excel as a professional artist in the industry.

Through Access Acting Academy she has just launched a ground-breaking 5-week full-time Professional Actor Training Program in L.A. for blind and low vision actors, running January 6 - February 7, 2020.
